Ms. Quimby’s 4th graders at Paris Elementary School in Maine decided to introduce the book to the rest of their school! Outside their classroom door, they displayed book reviews and drew themselves as if they were characters in the book.

Michelle Doorey, educator and mom from Morrisonville, NY, sent in this picture of her son’s school book club, whose inaugural pick was WONDER! She writes, “the kids loved it, and the book club took off from there.”
“Affection for this story and its positive message of kindness and compassion was unaninmous,” writes Maureen Rust, library media specialist at Wheeler Middle School. The student/parent book club signed the pledge on their final meeting!
